clear. calm. connected.

Is there sometimes a gap between how you want to act and how you do act?

  • changeroom coaching is for people in all walks of life who want to get better at managing themselves in the ordinary tensions and pressures of relationships so they can show up more often as the people they want to be
  • changeroom coaching helps you observe patterns in your behaviour, understand the forces shaping that behaviour, and clearly define what's important to you, so that you can be less reactive and more purposeful in challenging situations

changeroom coaching can help you be more clear about what drives your behaviour, more calm under pressure, and more connected to the people around you

Individual coaching - $90 per 1 hour session

A typical changeroom session runs for 1 hour via zoom. Face to face sessions may be possible depending on location.

  • Coaching starts with an initial conversation that is free of charge. My goal is to listen to the challenges you're facing, help you clarify what you're hoping to get out of coaching, and explain whether I think I can help and how we might go about that.
  • The changeroom philosophy is based on Bowen Family Systems Theory, which is a theory of human behaviour developed by Dr Murray Bowen. According to Bowen, a lot of human behaviour is driven by our instinctive reactions to the tensions in relationships. Much of this happens outside our awareness which is why we often find ourselves stuck in patterns of relating that we don't understand or know how to change.
  • For this reason, the goal of changeroom coaching is to help you to become more aware and more thoughtful as you manage yourself in the challenges of everyday relationships. But the real work of change doesn't happen in the coaching session - it happens out on the "field", as you put your thinking into practice in everyday life.
  • In order to help stimulate your thinking, I will typically set you some kind of material to engage with between sessions. It could be an article, a chapter of a book or a podcast which explores how Bowen theory can help us navigate challenges in relationships and in life.
